Artist Spotlight
Recently, while perusing Etsy, one of us bought a beautiful fig necklace from Inedible Jewelry. We at Fig are, of course, a little obsessed with our totem fruit and the image of a fig with it's delicate red insides exposed, dancing on the end of a chain threw us over the edge.

According to their Bio on Etsy, these Virgina-based sisters, Jessica & Susan Partain, say "we have been creating deliciously realistic miniature foods for about 16 years. We have translated our love of all things food and miniature into fun jewelry. Everyone has a favorite food!" We couldn't agree more. In addition, these crafty kin will accept requests for custom foods! To make your special request, contact Jessica & Susan through their Etsy account.
Each issue, we would like to feature the work of an artist to encourage readers to support their work, check out their website, visit gallery shows, and buy something they will love. Since this is Fig, we ask that submissions be renderings ofyou guessed ita fig. Any medium is appropriate (i.e. photography, painting, knitting, textiles, pottery, macramé, robotics, etc.) and we'll include a link to your website, with a picture of the featured item, so that readers can see your other work. Send your submissions to editor@figmagazine.com.
